HYMN OF PRAISE All Glory, Laud, and Honor Ken Heischman
with a Virtual Procession of the Palms
All glory, laud, and honor To Thee, Redeemer, King!
Refrain: To whom the lips of children Made sweet Hosannas ring.
Thou art the King of Israel, Thou David’s royal Son,
Who in the Lord’s name comest, The King and blessed One.
The people of the Hebrews With palms before Thee went
Our praise and prayers and anthems Before Thee we present.
To Thee before Thy Passion They sang their hymns of praise;
To Thee now high exalted Our melody we raise.
Thou didst accept their praises; Accept the praise we bring,
Who in all good delightest, Thou good and gracious King!
PRAYERS OF CONFESSION (Unison)
Merciful God, while we know how we sang for joy when Christ came into our lives, we
confess that we have not always followed You faithfully.
Our words and actions often reflect a reluctance to publicly live for You.
We are afraid that humility and meekness are seen as defects in our character.
We have betrayed Your love for us through our lack of love for You and for
other people.
Forgive us, Lord, and remake us in Your likeness.
Help us to have the same heart as Christ,
so that we may go wherever You lead us through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whose
name we pray. (Silent)
ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS (adapted from Psalm 130:3-4)
Leader: If the LORD should mark iniquities, who could stand?
People: Yet there is forgiveness with God, so that the LORD may be revered.
Leader: Friends, believe the good news of the gospel.
People: Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven!
HYMN Hear the Good News of Salvation Ken Heischman
Hear the good news of salvation: Jesus died to show God’s love
Such great kindness! Such great mercy! Come to us from heaven above,
Jesus Christ, how much I love You! Jesus Christ, You save from sin!
How I love You! Look upon me. Love me still and cleanse within.
All the sins I have committed To my Savior now I bring.
I bow down with tears of anguish; Christ forgives and so I sing:
Jesus Christ, how much I love You! Jesus Christ, You save from sin!
How I love You! Look upon me. Love me still and cleanse within.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
HYMN Ride On, Ride On in Majesty Ken Heischman
Ride on! Ride on in majesty!
Hark! all the tribes hosanna cry;
O Savior meek, pursue Thy road
With palms and scattered garments strowed.
Ride on! Ride on in majesty!
In lowly pomp ride on to die:
O Christ, Thy triumphs now begin
O’er captive death and conquered sin.
Ride on! Ride on in majesty!
The winged squadrons of the sky
Look down with sad and wond’ring eyes
To see th’approaching sacrifice.
Ride on! Ride on in majesty!
In lowly pomp ride on to die;
Bow Thy meek head to mortal pain,
Then take, O God, Thy power and reign.
