The October newsletter is full of lots of things are happening at the end of September and October.
This edition includes a memorial moment for Dr. John and Mary Norval.
Sunday, September 29th, is the last day to bring Mr. Clean and his friends to church. We will wrap up the Sudsy September collection for Christ Woodland Food Pantry. We have been collecting:
Laundry Detergent
Dishwashing Liquid
All-Purpose Spray Cleaners
Floor Cleaners
Toilet Paper
and Paper Towels.
September 29th is also the last day we will collect the Peace & Global Witness Offering.. The collection runs through October 6. However, we will not have service at our building next Sunday. We will worship with United Presbyterian Church, 2819 Hudson Dr., Cuyahoga Falls, for World Communion Sunday. Worship will begin at 10:30 a.m. Light refreshments will be served at 11:40 a.m. Twenty-five percent of the Peace & Global Witness Offering stays in the area. The Governing Board has approved Mission Committee’s recommendation for that money to go to the Akron Cooperative Farms’ “Guns to Garden Tools” project.
Sunday, Gospel of Christ will also meet after their service to celebrate Rev. Charles Bell’s 85th birthday.
