For this worship service, Pastor Tom points us to the Matthew 10:40-42 – which appears at the conclusion of Jesus’ missionary discourse. As we have done in previous weeks, our liturgy will also include a Prayer of Confession, an Assurance of Forgiveness, Prayers of the People, an opportunity to present an offering, as well as a hymn.
“All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name”
All hail the power of Jesus’ name!
Let angels prostrate fall;
bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown him Lord of all.
Bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown him Lord of all.
Ye chosen seed of Israel’s race,
ye ransomed from the fall,
hail him who saves you by his grace,
and crown him Lord of all.
Hail him who saves you by his grace,
and crown him Lord of all.
Let every kindred, every tribe
on this terrestrial ball,
to him all majesty ascribe,
and crown him Lord of all.
To him all majesty ascribe,
and crown him Lord of all.
O that with yonder sacred throng
we at his feet may fall!
We’ll join the everlasting song,
and crown him Lord of all.
We’ll join the everlasting song,
and crown him Lord of all.
Please stay safe and healthy . . . and may God’s grace, love, and peace bless you in every way.
Blessings,
tom
